Photos of Items you can find at Harvest of Talents 2014 are coming soon!!!
We did it! It is only fitting that in celebration of the 30th Harvest, we should break six digits. The total raised for the 2013 Harvest of Talents is:
I challenge everyone, including myself and my family: in the next 30 years, let’s double that. No, even better: I pray that God moves our hearts, so that by the 60th Harvest, we can celebrate another milestone, a quarter of a million dollars.
Start now! Bring your talents, whatever they may be. Bring your friends, family, and coworkers. (I have never brought anyone to Harvest with me who did not want to come back the next year!) Let God work in them too, to spread the word, so we can put food in more hungry mouths around the world.
And don’t forget to pray. Pray for the Harvest ministry team, for the volunteers, for the hungry we are feeding, for our missionaries, even for good weather on Harvest day. It seems like such a simple thing to do, but the impact is phenomenal. Remember Matthew 18:20 For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.
See you next year!
Total raised for IDES through this year’s Harvest: $82,052.34!
This brings the grand total for the 29 years of Harvest to: $1,718,145.23!
Just imagine how many people will be able to fed with this money! This comes at a particularly touching time as Hurricane Sandy has killed 52 people in Haiti and destroyed many of the crops and homes. The IDES website has information about the hurricane. Please keep these people in your prayers as we begin looking towards next year’s Harvest.
Total raised for IDES through this year’s Harvest: $91,588.89!
We cannot even begin to count, let alone name, all the people who go into making the Harvest a success. From our ministry team, to the people who helped make the food on and before Harvest day, to the people who donate items, and the people who bid each other up to $220 dollars for the last box of cinnamon rolls, you are all essential parts of making the event a success. We thank and love you all, and look forward to next year’s Harvest!
